As it can get tough (and boring) to manage your money, Mint.com Canada is offering a new online solution for all your budgeting needs. Basically, it’s free personal finance software that centralizes, organizes and keeps track of all your financial data in a single place.
So all you need to do is to sign up for free and add the accounts that you want checked and Mint does all the rest for you. You even have an iPhone and an Android app for you to follow your financial situation on the go. It’s really quite impressive, they put a lot of thought into it. And for many it could change their spending habits and educate them.

One of Mint’s nicest features is the fact that they teamed up with Turbo Tax Canada, so the two pieces of software can work together to get you the most out of your tax refund.
This being said, these two don’t have to be used in conjunction. Mint can be used by itself to simply and rapidly calculate savings, follow chequing account fluctuations (thanks to deals with BMO, HSBC, Scotiabank, RBC and TD), mortgage payments and keep close watch on investments. It’s a really versatile piece of kit with options for most people to find useful.
As if mint.com being free and synchronizing with Turbo Tax wasn’t enough, Mint’s new piece of software also gives helpful and educated advice on how to save some more money, pointing out all amounts spent and the most popular categories.
